Welcome to The Blob Site!

This site is dedicated to the classic 1958 science fiction movie The Blob, starring Steve(n) McQueen (as Steve Andrews) and Aneta Corsaut (as Jane Martin). Filmed during the summer of 1957 by Valley Forge Films (formerly Good News Productions) in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area, The Blob has become a true sci-fi movie classic.

We've Remodeled!

If you're a returning visitor to The Blob Site, you've probably noticed that the look of the site has changed somewhat. Don't fear though. Almost all the same information is still here, accessible from the navigation links on the left. We're still working on getting a few of the old features transferred over to the new design, mostly the reports of BlobFests past.

Also, looking forward, we plan on having more news on this year's upcoming BlobFest at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA, as well as other surprises we'll be unveiling in the coming months.

With The Blob's 50th anniversary on the horizon for 2008 it certainly is a great time to be celebrating everyone's favorite gelatinous horror from outer space!
